Sometimes, being able to sit there and objectively assess another person's situation in life and to try and understand where they come from and what experiences so far must have caused them to adapt and become the way they have helps us get less angry at some of the most stupidest things that peole can say and do .
This objective analysis combined with pity kinda allows you to become this all knowing bigger person and then you are less angry.
